26/05/2008 - Finishing the capacitance fuel gauges and minor assembly

Fiddly bits and pieces today.  It started out with countersinking (or at least starting to) countersink the spar.  Turned all the countersinks gold with a usual dab of allocrom.

Finished off where the fuel vapour return line terminates in the middle bay and close to the bottom of the tank.  Time then to finish the capacitance plate fixings and wiring.  Now comes and interesting (well painful actually) story, you will remember Bob organised to have some delrin fittings made, very nice they are too, except for the price .... £350 !!!!!!!!! mmm perhaps we should of got a quote first.  These are expensive gauges, we could have hired a portable milling machine for a lot less.  Note to self!
